So sorry everyone who reads my blog faithfully.  I have the drawing done and on my camera, but the battery died right before I put it on the computer.  I left the charger at my parent's.  I will have to add the picture tomorrow!

It is Benjamin Franklin in honor of the 4th!

I so enjoyed spending the time praying for Taylor while I drew her. Her mother's good friend let me know about another beautiful little girl going through Leukemia.  She has been so brave, and from what I see extremely determined.  Please pray for Cynthia and her family as they journey through this time.  I think she might be a budding artist too! :)

                                  She's a little princess!
                                                         Praying for you Cynthia!

This job I'm applying for has gotten me thinking about book illustrating.  There is a duck book my uncle wrote that I should start working on illustrating.  So you may see a duck from time to time.  Here is the first . . .

I was looking through my facebook page this morning and saw a beautiful baby face.  The post had the word cancer in it so I was at once drawn to click.  It was Praying for Taylor.  A sweet baby girl that stole my heart as I looked through pictures of what she is going through.  Cancer of the spine stage 3.  I prayed for her all day, and my heart ached.  As I drew this picture Kalvyn and I talked about her and prayed together.  God is wonderful and has a perfect plan for little Taylor's life.  I was missing my sister (who died almost a year ago) today.  A dear friend said that I had been on her heart and in her prayers.  She text me this verse.
"Oh Lord, be gracious to us; we long for you.  Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress."
I pray this verse for Taylor and her family.  May God's arms be felt around you right now . . .

I am happy to announce that my baby boy is growing up!  He is now potty trained. . . or at least mostly potty trained.  :)

Once again an hour is not long enough for a pastel portrait by any means.  I need another few, or 5 hours to get this done . . .

My Aunt Marie and my Uncle Herman are an inspiration of staying young.  They fell in love just 10 years ago or so and got married.

An hour is not nearly enough time for a pastel portrait.  This is what I could get done, and I used the whole hour.

My great aunt Marie . . .

I am going to do her husband next to her in a few days.  Eventually i will try to finish her too and do more on the hair.

I have been very busy with art, which I love, but I am going to finish potty training Kalvyn this weekend.  So hopefully my baby will be in big boy undies soon! :)
